25 Prayers to Cultivate a Deeper Prayer Life

Scripture for Meditation: "“And he told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.”" — Luke 18:1

Introduction: Prayer is the lifeline of the believer. It is our communication with our heavenly Father. Yet, many of us struggle to maintain a consistent and powerful prayer life. A deeper prayer life doesn't happen by accident; it is cultivated through desire, discipline, and asking the Holy Spirit to help us.

Prayer Points:

1. Father, I desire a deeper and more intimate prayer life. Teach me to pray.

2. I repent for my prayerlessness and for allowing other things to become more important.

3. I pray for a fresh hunger and a renewed passion for prayer.

4. I come against the spirits of distraction, laziness, and slumber that attack my prayer time.

5. I pray for the discipline to set aside a consistent time and place for prayer.

6. I ask the Holy Spirit to help me in my weakness, for I do not know what to pray for as I ought.

7. I want to move beyond a "shopping list" prayer life and into a conversational relationship with You.

8. I pray for a greater boldness and faith in my prayers.

9. I pray for a greater sensitivity to hear Your voice when I pray.

10. I declare that my prayer life is becoming powerful and effective.

11. I want to be a person who "prays without ceasing."

12. I pray for a greater burden of intercession for others.

13. I declare that my "prayer closet" is becoming my favorite place to be.

14. I loose myself from the feeling that prayer is a duty. It is a delight.

15. I pray for the grace to persevere in prayer and not to lose heart.

16. I declare that I am a prayer warrior and an intercessor.

17. I pray for my prayer language (tongues) to be activated and strengthened.

18. I want to learn to pray Your Word and Your will.

19. I declare that my prayers are making a difference in the spiritual realm.

20. I pray for a community of praying friends to partner with.

21. I am an overcomer. I have victory over a weak prayer life.

22. I pray for a greater revelation of the power of prayer.

23. I am becoming a person who dwells in the secret place.

24. I seal my commitment to a deeper prayer life in the blood of Jesus.

25. Thank You, Lord, for the incredible privilege of prayer. Amen.

Closing Declaration: Father, I thank You for hearing my prayers today. I believe that even as I have lifted these concerns to You, You are already at work on my behalf. I receive Your answers by faith and declare that nothing is impossible for You. Let Your name be glorified in my life as these prayers come to pass. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
