Introduction: Anger is a powerful and destructive spirit that can poison relationships, hinder your health, and give the devil a foothold in your life. While righteous anger against injustice exists, uncontrolled, explosive, or simmering anger is a spiritual problem that must be dealt with. Freedom comes when we renounce this spirit and invite the Holy Spirit to produce His fruit of peace and self-control in our hearts.

Prayer Points:

  1. Father, I confess my struggle with the spirit of anger. I repent for every outburst, harsh word, and resentful thought.

  2. In the name of Jesus, I renounce and command the spirit of anger, rage, and wrath to loose its hold on me.

  3. I break any generational curse of anger that has been passed down in my family. This pattern stops with me.

  4. I ask You to heal the root of my anger, whether it is from past hurt, injustice, or frustration.

  5. I choose to forgive those who have provoked me to anger. I release them from my judgment.

  6. I command my emotions to come under the subjection of the Holy Spirit. I will not be controlled by anger.

  7. Lord, create in me a clean heart and a calm spirit.

  8. I receive the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and especially self-control.

  9. I pray for the wisdom to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.

  10. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use my anger to destroy my relationships, my health, or my testimony.

  17. I will not let the sun go down on my anger. I will resolve conflicts quickly.
