The God Who Sees You - Daily Devotional
Hagar was a servant, an outsider, a woman with no power or status. When she fled into the wilderness, pregnant and afraid, she might have felt completely alone and forgotten. But God met her there, and she gave Him a name that reveals something beautiful about His character: El Roi—the God who sees. "You are the God who sees me," she said, "for I have now seen the One who sees me" (Genesis 16:13). This same God who saw Hagar in her distress sees you in yours. He sees your struggles that no one else notices. He sees your efforts that go unappreciated. He sees your pain that you carry silently. He sees your dreams that feel impossible. He sees your faithfulness in small, hidden acts of service. You are not invisible to God. You are not forgotten. Your life matters to Him, and He is intimately aware of every detail of your circumstances. When you feel overlooked or undervalued by the world around you, remember that you are fully seen and deeply loved by the One whose opinion matters most. El Roi sees you, knows you, and cares for you with a love that will never fail.
