God's Faithfulness in Waiting Seasons - Daily Devotional
Abraham was 75 when God promised him descendants as numerous as the stars. He was 100 when Isaac was finally born. Twenty-five years of waiting. During those years, Abraham faced doubt, made mistakes, and sometimes tried to help God fulfill His promises through his own efforts. Yet God remained faithful to His word. Waiting is one of the hardest spiritual disciplines because it requires us to trust God's timing rather than our own. In our instant-gratification culture, waiting feels like punishment or delay. But God's perspective on time is different from ours. "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day" (2 Peter 3:8). During seasons of waiting, God is often doing invisible work in our hearts, preparing us for what He has in store. He may be developing our character, deepening our faith, or aligning circumstances in ways we cannot see. The wait is not wasted time—it's preparation time. If you're in a waiting season today, remember that God has not forgotten His promises to you. His timing is perfect, even when it doesn't align with your timeline. Trust His faithfulness, even in the silence.
