He's Still Waiting for You - Daily Devotional
[HOOK] Have you ever felt like you've tested God's patience one too many times? Maybe you've stumbled into the same sin again, wandered away from Him repeatedly, or wondered if He's finally grown tired of waiting for you to get it together. That weight of feeling like you've exhausted His grace is heavy to carry. [REFLECTION] Here's the beautiful truth that changes everything: God's patience isn't like ours. We run out. We grow frustrated. We give up on people. But God? He's been patiently pursuing humanity since the Garden of Eden, and He's still pursuing you today with the same relentless love. Think about the father in the prodigal son story. He didn't pace angrily, keeping count of the days his son wasted. He watched the road with hope, ready to run toward his child the moment he turned home. That's your Heavenly Father. God's patience isn't passive waiting—it's active love. Every sunrise you wake up to is another invitation. Every quiet nudge in your spirit is Him gently calling you closer. He's not counting your failures; He's counting the moments until you turn toward Him again. His patience reveals His heart: He would rather wait a lifetime for you than spend eternity without you. That's not tolerance. That's not obligation. That's extravagant, pursuing, never-giving-up love. [STEPS] 1. Write down three times God patiently waited for you to return to Him, and thank Him specifically for each one. 2. Extend patient grace to someone in your life who is struggling—mirror God's patience toward you. 3. Spend five quiet minutes simply receiving God's love without asking for anything or confessing anything. [PRAYER] Father, thank You for never giving up on me. When I wander, You wait. When I fail, You extend grace. Help me truly receive Your patient love today—not as something I've earned, but as the gift it's always been. Teach me to rest in Your faithfulness. Amen. [CLOSE] What would change in your relationship with God if you truly believed His patience toward you will never run out?
