30 Decrees to Overcome the Spirit of Apathy

Scripture for Meditation: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

Introduction: The spirit of apathy is a demonic spirit that makes you indifferent, unconcerned, and passionless. It is a spirit of a "I don't care" attitude, of spiritual laziness, and of a "someone else will do it" feeling. It is a faith-killer and a destiny-destroyer. This spirit must be bound, and a spirit of passion, of zeal, and of an "on fire for God" anointing must be loosed.

Warfare Decrees:

1. In the name of Jesus, I come against the spirit of apathy.

2. I renounce and reject you, spirit of apathy, of indifference, and of spiritual laziness.

3. I decree that I am not an apathetic person; I am a passionate, a zealous, and an "on fire for God" child of God.

4. I bind the strongman of apathy that has been trying to make me a lukewarm and an ineffective Christian.

5. I loose the spirit of passion, of zeal, and of a powerful "never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor" anointing into my life.

6. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use apathy to make me a powerless and fruitless witness.

7. I repent for every time I have been apathetic, have been indifferent, or have had a lukewarm heart.

8. I plead the blood of Jesus over my heart, cleansing it from all apathy and from all indifference.

9. I decree that my life is a life of "I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!"

10. I uproot every seed of a "it doesn't really matter" or of a "I'm too busy to care" mentality.

11. I am an overcomer. I have victory over the spirit of apathy.

12. I bind every spirit of discouragement and of worldliness that fuels apathy.

13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the power of passionate faith to change the world.

14. I declare that my mind is being renewed to think thoughts that are passionate, not apathetic.

15. I bind every spirit of pride that is at the root of apathy (thinking I'm above it all).

16. I take back the ground that this spirit has stolen in my life.

17. I decree that my life is marked by a spirit of joyful and consistent passion for God.

18. I will not be a victim of a "lukewarm" life.

19. I declare that my heart is on fire for the things of God.

20. I bind every spirit of distraction that would make me want to be apathetic.

21. I am a child of God, and I am called to be zealous for good works.

22. I decree that my season of apathy is over, and my season of passion has come.

23. I am a warrior for a passionate heart.

24. I am a person of passion.

25. I seal my total and permanent freedom from the spirit of apathy in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
