30 Decrees to Overcome the Spirit of Fear of Man

Scripture for Meditation: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

Introduction: The spirit of fear of man is a demonic spirit that makes you more concerned with what people think of you than with what God thinks of you. It is a spirit that brings a snare, leading to compromise, to people-pleasing, and to a silenced voice. This spirit must be bound, and a spirit of a holy and reverential fear of the Lord must be loosed.

Warfare Decrees:

1. In the name of Jesus, I come against the spirit of fear of man.

2. I renounce and reject you, spirit of fear of man, of people-pleasing, and of a "need for approval."

3. I decree that I am not a person who is controlled by the opinions of others; I am a God-pleaser, and I live for an audience of One.

4. I bind the strongman of fear of man that has been trying to muzzle me and to control me.

5. I loose the spirit of boldness, of courage, and of a holy fear of the Lord into my life.

6. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use fear of man to make me compromise my convictions and to silence my witness.

7. I repent for every time I have valued the approval of man more than the approval of God.

8. I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind and my emotions, cleansing them from all fear of rejection and from all fear of criticism.

9. I decree that my life is a life of being "strong and very courageous."

10. I uproot every seed of a "what will they think" or of a "I don't want to offend anyone" mentality.

11. I am an overcomer. I have victory over the spirit of fear of man.

12. I bind every spirit of rejection that is at the root of fear of man.

13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the freedom and of the boldness that comes from living for God alone.

14. I declare that my identity is secure in Christ, not in the opinions of others.

15. I bind every spirit of intimidation that works with fear of man.

16. I take back the ground that I have lost through compromise and through a silenced voice.

17. I decree that my life is marked by a bold and clear proclamation of the truth, in love.

18. I will not be a victim of a "people-pleasing" Christianity.

19. I declare that my heart is fully committed to obeying God, even if it means being misunderstood or being rejected by men.

20. I bind every spirit of cowardice that is a fruit of fear of man.

21. I am a child of God, and I am an ambassador for Christ.

22. I decree that my season of being afraid of man is over, and my season of fearing God alone has come.

23. I am a warrior, and I will not be silenced.

24. I am a person of conviction.

25. I seal my total and permanent freedom from the spirit of fear of man in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
