Introduction: A godly character—your integrity, your humility, your self-control—is the foundation of a life that honors God. It is the fruit of the Spirit being formed in you. The enemy will attack your character with spirits of compromise, of pride, and of fleshly indulgence. You must wage war for your character, decreeing that you are being conformed to the image of Christ.

Warfare Decrees:

  1. In the name of Jesus, I take authority over the development of a godly character in my life.

  2. I decree that I am not a person of weak or compromised character; I am a person of integrity, of humility, and of strong godly character.

  3. I bind every spirit of compromise, of pride, of fleshly indulgence, and of a "nobody's perfect" excuse-making.

  4. I loose the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—into my life.

  5. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use a character failure to bring reproach to the name of Christ.

  6. I decree that I am a person who is "being transformed into his image with an ever-increasing glory."

  7. I plead the blood of Jesus over my heart, cleansing it from all sin and from all unrighteousness.

  8. I decree that my life is a life of "walking in a manner that is worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him."

  9. I uproot every seed of a "I can't help it" or of a "that's just the way I am" mentality.

  10. I will not be a person who is a slave to my own fleshly desires.

  11. I am an overcomer. I have victory over all sin and temptation.

  12. I bind every spirit of hypocrisy and of double-mindedness that would try to corrupt my character.

  13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the power of the Holy Spirit to produce godly character.

  14. I declare that my mind is being renewed to think thoughts that are pure, that are lovely, and that are of good report.

  15. I bind every spirit of anger, of lust, or of greed that is at the root of character failure.

  16. I take back the ground that the enemy has stolen in my character.

  17. I decree that my life is marked by a spirit of consistent and growing godliness.

  18. I will not be a victim of a "yo-yo" Christian life.

  19. I declare that my heart is set on being a person after God's own heart.

  20. I bind every spirit of passivity that would keep me from actively pursuing godliness.

  21. I am a child of God, and I am a partaker of the divine nature.

  22. I decree that my season of character failure is over, and my season of godly character has come.

  23. I am a warrior, and I am fighting for my character.

  24. I am a person of integrity.

  25. I seal my victory for a life of walking in strong, consistent, and God-honoring character in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
