30 Decrees to Command Your Spiritual Understanding

Scripture for Meditation: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

Introduction: Spiritual understanding is the ability to comprehend the deep things of God and to apply them to your life. It is the "aha!" moment when the Word of God becomes a living reality to you. The enemy, the "blinder of minds," will try to keep you in a state of spiritual ignorance. You must wage war for the eyes of your understanding to be enlightened.

Warfare Decrees:

1. In the name of Jesus, I take authority over my spiritual understanding.

2. I decree that I am not a person of spiritual ignorance; I am a person who is growing in the knowledge of God.

3. I bind every spirit of blindness, of dullness, and of a "religious fog."

4. I loose the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.

5. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to keep me from understanding the Word of God and the will of God for my life.

6. I decree that the eyes of my understanding are being enlightened.

7. I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, cleansing it from all confusion and from all deception.

8. I uproot every seed of a "this is too complicated for me" mentality.

9. I decree that my life is a life of walking in the light of God's Word.

10. I will not be a person who is "ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

11. I am an overcomer. I am a person of deep spiritual understanding.

12. I bind every spirit of rationalism that would try to explain away the mysteries of God.

13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the wisdom of God.

14. I declare that my life is marked by a deep and a personal revelation of who God is.

15. I bind every spirit of distraction that would keep me from meditating on the Word.

16. I take back the ground that I have lost through spiritual ignorance.

17. I decree that my life is a story of going from one level of understanding to the next.

18. I will not be a victim of a superficial Christianity.

19. I declare that my heart is a good soil for the seed of the Word.

20. I bind every spirit of pride that would make me think I already know it all.

21. I am a child of God, and I have the mind of Christ.

22. I decree that the Holy Spirit is my teacher, and He is leading me into all truth.

23. I am a warrior, and I am fighting for my own spiritual education.

24. I am a person of insight.

25. I seal the protection, the growth, and the fruitfulness of my spiritual understanding in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
