30 Decrees to Overcome the Spirit of Greed

Introduction: The spirit of greed is a demonic spirit that makes you have an insatiable desire for more, especially for more money and for more possessions. It is a spirit of a "never enough" attitude, of a covetousness, and of a "love of money." It is a joy-killer and a soul-destroyer. This spirit must be bound, and a spirit of a generosity, of a contentment, and of a "seek first the kingdom of God" anointing must be loosed.

Warfare Decrees:

1. In the name of Jesus, I come against the spirit of greed.

2. I renounce and reject you, spirit of greed, of a covetousness, and of a "love of money."

3. I decree that I am not a greedy person; I am a generous, a content, and a "seeking first the kingdom" child of God.

4. I bind the strongman of greed that has been trying to make me a self-absorbed and an ungenerous person.

5. I loose the spirit of a generosity, of a contentment, and of a powerful "it is more blessed to give than to receive" anointing into my life.

6. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use greed to make me a lonely and an unfruitful Christian.

7. I repent for every time I have been greedy, have been covetous, or have loved money more than God.

8. I plead the blood of Jesus over my heart, cleansing it from all greed and from all covetousness.

9. I decree that my life is a life of "for the love of money is a root of all kinds of an evil."

10. I uproot every seed of a "I need more" or of a "if only I had more money" mentality.

11. I am an overcomer. I have victory over the spirit of greed.

12. I bind every spirit of a poverty and of an insecurity that fuels greed.

13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the blessing and of the joy that comes from a life of a generosity.

14. I declare that my mind is being renewed to think thoughts of a giving, not of a getting.

15. I bind every spirit of a pride that is at the root of greed (wanting to show off my wealth).

16. I take back the joy, the peace, and the relationships that this spirit has stolen.

17. I decree that my life is marked by a spirit of a joyful and of a consistent generosity.

18. I will not be a victim of a "greedy" life.

19. I declare that my heart is set on laying up a treasure in heaven, not on earth.

20. I bind every spirit of a materialism that would make me want to hoard my possessions.

21. I am a child of God, and I am called to be a river, not a reservoir.

22. I decree that my season of greed is over, and my season of a generosity has come.

23. I am a warrior for a generous heart.

24. I am a person of generosity.

25. I seal my total and permanent freedom from the spirit of greed in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
