Scripture for Meditation: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4
Introduction: The spirit of legalism is a demonic spirit that seeks to put you back under the law and to make you earn your salvation through your own good works. It is a spirit of a religious performance, of a critical judgment, and of a joyless Christianity. It is the spirit of the Pharisees. This spirit must be bound, and a spirit of a radical grace and of a joyful freedom must be loosed.
Warfare Decrees:
-
In the name of Jesus, I come against the spirit of legalism.
-
I renounce and reject you, spirit of legalism, of a religious performance, and of a "works-based" righteousness.

-
I bind the strongman of legalism that has been trying to put me in a religious straitjacket.
-
I loose the spirit of grace, of freedom, and of a deep and a personal relationship with Jesus into my life.
-
I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use legalism to steal my joy and to make me a judgmental person.
-
I repent for every time I have tried to earn God's love or have judged others by my own man-made standards.
-
I plead the blood of Jesus over my heart, cleansing it from all legalism and from all self-righteousness.
-
I decree that my life is a life of "standing firm in the freedom for which Christ has set me free."
-
I uproot every seed of a "I have to be perfect" or of a "God is mad at me" mentality.
-
I am an overcomer. I have victory over the spirit of legalism.
-
I bind every spirit of condemnation that works with legalism.
-
I decree that my life is a testimony of the liberating power of the grace of God.
-
I declare that my mind is being renewed to think with a "grace-based" and not a "works-based" mindset.
-
I bind every spirit of pride that is at the root of legalism.
-
I take back the joy and the freedom that this spirit has stolen.
-
I decree that my life is marked by a spirit of love, not of judgment.
-
I will not be a victim of a "joyless" Christianity.
-
I declare that my heart is full of the love of God, which is the fulfillment of the law.
-
I bind every spirit of control that uses legalism as a tool.
-
I am a child of God, and I am accepted in the Beloved.
-
I decree that my season of legalism is over, and my season of grace has come.
-
I am a warrior for freedom.
-
I am a person of grace.
-
I seal my total and permanent freedom from the spirit of legalism in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
