Scripture for Meditation: "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds." — 2 Corinthians 10:4

Introduction: The spirit of lethargy is a demonic spirit that makes you feel sluggish, tired, and unmotivated. It is a spirit of a "I don't feel like it" attitude, of physical and spiritual laziness, and of a "just want to stay in bed" feeling. It is a joy-killer and a productivity-destroyer. This spirit must be bound, and a spirit of vibrant energy, of holy motivation, and of a "seize the day" anointing must be loosed.

Warfare Decrees:

  2. I renounce and reject you, spirit of lethargy, of sluggishness, and of a "I don't feel like it" attitude.

  3. I decree that I am not a lethargic person; I am an energetic, a motivated, and a productive child of God.

  4. I bind the strongman of lethargy that has been trying to keep me in a state of physical and spiritual exhaustion.

  5. I loose the spirit of vibrant energy, of holy motivation, and of a powerful "strength of the Lord" anointing into my life.

  6. I cancel every assignment of the enemy to use lethargy to make me a lazy and an unfruitful person.

  7. I repent for every time I have given in to lethargy, have been lazy, or have had an unmotivated attitude.

  8. I plead the blood of Jesus over my body and over my mind, cleansing them from all lethargy and sluggishness.

  9. I decree that my life is a life of "they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles."

  10. I uproot every seed of a "I'm just not a morning person" or of a "I'm too tired" mentality.

  11. I am an overcomer. I have victory over the spirit of lethargy.

  12. I bind every spirit of poor health and of depression that fuels lethargy.

  13. I decree that my life is a testimony of the power of God to give strength to the weary.

  14. I declare that my mind is being renewed to think thoughts of energy, not of exhaustion.

  15. I bind every spirit of hopelessness that is at the root of lethargy.

  16. I take back the energy, the motivation, and the productivity that this spirit has stolen.

  17. I decree that my life is marked by a spirit of joyful and purposeful energy.

  18. I will not be a victim of a "tired" life.

  19. I declare that my heart is full of the zeal of the Lord.

  20. I bind every spirit of passivity that would keep me from getting up and getting going.

  21. I am a child of God, and I am called to live a life of fruitful labor.

  22. I decree that my season of lethargy is over, and my season of vibrant energy has come.

  23. I am a warrior, and I am running my race with endurance.

  24. I am a person of energy.

  25. I seal my total and permanent freedom from the spirit of lethargy in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Closing Declaration: I seal these declarations with the blood of Jesus. What I have bound on earth is bound in heaven. What I have loosed on earth is loosed in heaven. I stand in the victory of Christ, and I declare that the enemy's plans are destroyed. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
